“Godfather of Jordan brand”

You don't always have to be the face of the operation to win. When you play your role and execute at the highest level, we can all get the bag.

In 1978, Howard "H" White was hired by Nike as a field marketing representative, trusted with covering the east coast. This marked the beginning of his career with the company. He is the longest tenured African American executive in Nike's history. He is currently the Senior Vice President for Jordan Brand.

Born and raised in Hampton, Virginia, Howard's upbringing influenced his approach to life. He carries with him the game his mother left , "Even a dog can wag its tail when it passes you on the street." That shaped his character forever it instilled in him a genuine appreciation for everyone, regardless of their race or job title.

One of the pivotal moments in Howard's career was when he found himself in the room during Nike's original pitch to Michael Jordan and his parents. This encounter played a significant role in shaping the trajectory of both Nike and Michael Jordan, ultimately leading to the creation of the iconic Jordan Brand. He became Jordan’s daily manager and mentor.

19 years later, Howard was instrumental in securing LeBron James for Nike, resulting in the signing of the largest shoe deal ever inked by a rookie. He also played a crucial role in bringing other basketball stars, such as Carmelo Anthony, and Chris Paul to the Jordan Brand.

The Jordan brand is now worth over 5.2 Billion.
