Larry Eugene Hendricks III, widely known as Larry June, was born in 1991 in San Francisco, California. He moved to Atlanta at the age of 5 and later relocated back to the Bay Area during his teenage years. Larry's venture into the world of rap began at the young age of 15.

In 2010, Larry June and his business partner Sean Kelly founded the Free Minded record label and lifestyle brand. Larry June sought to integrate a focus on health into the culture, prioritizing trips to Whole Foods and Trader Joe's over the trap. Starting his day with a green juice and a bike ride, Larry recognized that life extends beyond the confines of dope dealing, lean, and drugs. Emphasizing the importance of mental and physical well-being.

With a desire to promote healthier alternatives for addressing life's challenges, Larry advocates for activities like hiking, biking, walking, and eating healthy to foster both mental and physical vitality. His music, which he describes as real player, peaceful, trap infused, healthy s***, reflects his commitment to an authentic and health-conscious lifestyle.

Larry June's dedication and unwavering consistency showed during the 2020 pandemic. He released six projects, driven not by commercial recognition or mainstream acclaim but by the genuine desire to share his music with his dedicated fanbase and foster its growth.

As a black artist in the rap game, Larry understands the significance of how he presents himself, recognizing the influence he has over the black youth.
